Flying to Corsica is possible thanks to our four international airports. Via Bastia Poretta airport, Napoleon Bonaparte airport in Ajaccio, Figari airport and Calvi Sainte Catherine airport.
During the summer period various low cost airlines also offer direct flights from many French cities. Volotea for example offers flights to Bastia and Ajaccio from Brest, Nantes, Caen, Lille, Strasbourg, Bordeaux, Toulouse, Montpellier, Lyon….
Easyjet offers flights from Basel, Geneva to Calvi; flights from Basel, Berlin, Bordeaux, Geneva, Lyon, Nantes, Paris and Toulouse to Bastia; flights from Basel, Bordeaux, Geneva, Lyon and Paris to Ajaccio and flights from Basel, Bordeaux, Geneva, London, Lyon, Nantes,
Paris and Toulouse to Figari.
Flying is the quickest way to get to the island of beauty, with an average flight time of 1 hour to 1.5 hours depending on the city of departure. As far as the budget is concerned, many promotional offers are regularly launched.
Calvi airport is located 7 km from the residences Le Home** and A Merula**. So you can reach us: by renting a car, there are various agencies at the terminal (Europcar, Hertz, Avis, Citer, Mattei…) or by taking a taxi
Bastia airport is 96 km (about 1h30 by car) from Le Home** and A Merula**. The easiest way to reach us is to rent a car.
Ajaccio airport is 161 km (about 2h40 by car) from Le Home** and A Merula**. The easiest way to reach us is to rent a car.
Figari airport is 224 km (about 3h20 by car) from Le Home** and A Merula**. The easiest way to reach us is to rent a car.
Come to Calvi by ferry
Access to the island of beauty is possible thanks to our five ports. Bastia and Ile Rousse in Upper Corsica. Ajaccio, Propriano and Porto Vecchio in Southern Corsica.
If you wish to take your time on the journey, not be restricted in terms of luggage and come with your car, the ferry will be the best solution with the companies Corsica Ferries and Corsica Linea. The crossing lasts between 5 hours and 10/12 hours. You can also crossing as a pedestrian.
The port of Ile Rousse is the closest to Calvi. It is located 24km away (about 30 min by car and 35/45 min by train).
Corsica Ferries links Ile Rousse to Nice and Toulon. The company Corsica Linea provides the link between Marseille and Ile Rousse. These two companies offer numerous ferries in summer.

The car and the two wheels are undeniably the best means of transport to discover Corsica and all its discover Corsica and all its treasures. The small train of the beaches which goes along the coast, the old “U Trinichellu” serves about ten beaches from Calvi to Ile Rousse. Several daily departures will allow you to move around and you to move and stop as you wish.

Boat rental to discover the island's coastline
Several companies offer boat rental to allow you to discover Corsica from the sea, its gulfs, creeks and capes. You will also find many tours day or half-day cruises. This mode of transport is ideal to discover some heavenly white sand beaches, to reach the isolated coves of the Revellata in the Revellata in the Gulf of Calvi, to visit the Scandola reserve or the Agriattes desert near La Balagne….

During the summer season, you will have the possibility of making excursions to cover part of the island by coach leaving from Calvi with the company “les beaux voyages” and the company “Corse voyages” (half day and full day). You will also have the possibility to visit with organised tours in 4×4, 7-seater cars with for example Bianconi Scuperta, Corsica 4×4 and certainly others.

Discover Corsica by bike
Renting an electric bike is recommended because Corsica is a mountain in the sea. You will therefore have frequent changes in altitude to go from the seaside to the mountains. The small roads of Corsica are winding and rarely flat, this mode of locomotion is very pleasant and allows to link the villages of high Balagne. Sportsmen in good physical shape can rent road bikes or mountain bikes to discover the mountains, the forest and the coast of Corsica.
